In 2020, I experienced a profound creative block that left me feeling paralyzed and uninspired. Every idea was met with harsh self-judgment, which only exacerbated my inaction. In 2021, I made a decision to dedicate just sixty seconds each day to create a drawing of a moment from the previous 24 hours.

I started seeking beauty, humor, and meaning in even the most mundane aspects of my life. Using a timer as my guide, I tried to capture and distill the essence of my experiences using the fewest lines possible. By embracing constraints, I found freedom from overthinking and self-doubt. The series became my 1 Minute Drawings, a visual journal that connects me to a timeless tradition of storytelling through imagery.

This daily practice has become more than just a creative exercise; it serves as a meditative ritual that forces me to be in the moment, one minute at a time.
